Thanks to the weight of only 0.1g placed on rear body, the flight attitude keeps stable and the casting distance gets longer. But the most important purpose of this weight is to restrain swing of the rear body during swimming, making straight swimming stabile which is the most important thing for i-Motion bait.

When another hook is attached on rear body, RUFEN becomes sinking and anglers can let it swim at deeper range. It works better when fish is under pressure, such as when fish does not come up the surface of the water, or when fish are not hooked up.
