Klisters are specially formulated grip waxes designed for wet, icy, or refrozen snow. Follow these steps for best results:
Mask off the start and end of the grip zone with tape.
Roughen the kick zone using 80120 grit sandpaper to help the wax adhere.
Clean the surface, removing any dirt or debris.
For added durability, apply a base klister such as Rex Base #290 (or Blue Klister #200) and smooth it evenly.
Apply thin strips of klister along the grip zone.
Warm the wax gently with a heat gun to soften it.
Spread evenly using a synthetic cork.
Add a second layer of the klister suitable for the days snow conditions.
Heat again, then smooth with your thumb for an even surface.
Remove masking tape and blend the edges of the grip zone smoothly by hand.
This method ensures even coverage, long-lasting grip, and optimal glide on demanding icy or man-made tracks.
