The Daiwa Zakana Casting Jig is a saltwater casting jig with a small baitfish profile. Aptly-named, “Zakana” is derived from a Japanese slang term for small baitfish and this lure does an excellent job of mimicking one. It has a super aerodynamic body that’s easy to cast super far and, once underwater, offers one-of-a-kind erratic wounded baitfish swimming action.

While the Zakana may have a body shape similar to other saltwater casting jigs on the market, the Zakana is the first to have a horizontal line tie (as opposed to vertical), which makes its swimming action different from other jigs you have with this profile. To top it all off, the Zakana has line-through construction and is pre-rigged with VMC 9620 saltwater-grade treble hooks and heavy-duty split rings, making tackle failure virtually impossible.
