Just like with alpine skiing, cramming a thick sock into a tight-fitting boot can actually make your feet colder by restricting circulation.
Cross-country skiing generates a lot of body heat, so even in very cold conditions, you dont need overly bulky insulation. For those with poor circulation or chronically cold feet, we recommend insulated outer boot covers (see below). They provide added warmth without compromising boot fit or performancekeeping you stable, balanced, and warm.
